Hot Enough For Ya?

Hello all you loyal bacon lovers. It’s me, the Pederson’s Natural Farms Cooking Cowboy, back on the BLOG!

How 'bout HOT!?! Let me tell you... we've got hot in every form from 100 degree temperatures outside to our spicy hot habanero sausage. I just got back from my daily jog. Ok, bi-weekly or weekly would be a more correct description, but I do intend to do it every day. That counts for something, right?!? Anyway, it was hot out there. I mean, I think summer is officially here. As a matter of fact, I have seen on the news that the northeastern part of the country has been experiencing a heat wave, too. I feel your pain, my friends! Stay cool, and keep hydrated because it is dangerous out there.

Enough about the heat outside. I’m curious about your thoughts on heat in your food! Of course there are a million levels of heat, and it seems like, no matter what you do, it is either too hot or not hot enough. I’ll tell you this much... a lot depends on what part of the country you are in, too, and maybe even in the world for that matter. I just recently began talks with some potential customers in Asia who only wanted to discuss our spicy sausages. They had absolutely no interest in mild Italian or maple breakfast sausage. I guess the moral of the story is to make it good, hot or not, and somebody somewhere will love you for it! Keep us in mind if you are looking to spice up any of your family’s favorite recipes because we probably do have the perfect amount of heat for you.
