Potato Skins with Pederson's Apple Bacon

This is a very simple and delicious comfort food recipe that's perfect for casual get togethers with family and friends!

Ingredients

6 small to medium sized russet potatoes
Olive oil
Canola oil or grapeseed oil
Pepper
6 strips Pederson's Natural Farms Apple Smoked Bacon
4 ounces grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
2 green onions finely chopped

My favorite time of year!

My favorite time of year is upon us. Thanksgiving is a memory, christmas is around the corner and the start of a new year is within reach!!!! During the holidays I like to have an "open house" all through December. I always have snacks and easy meals ready to prepare so I can sit down and catch up with the ones I love. As I've grown up, the holidays have become less about the gifts, whether giving or receiving and more about togetherness, entertaining and taking a moment to tell my friends and family how much they mean to me! There will always be Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas morning opening presents but I like celebrate all month long! This weekend we are having a big group of friends over for an ugly sweater dinner party! I can't wait to try some new recipes that I've been stockpiling! One is the bacon wrapped broiled salmon which I found on our very own website!!!! It's Sunday in Southern California

Today was a great Sunday in Southern California. We got a nice break from the 100 degree weather we've been having lately and I got out to all the stores in my southern loop to see how things are going. The aisles were packed, meat counters busy and Labor Day sales were in full swing throughout the stores! We have a big sale on rope sausages that's just starting this week so the shelves were stocked and ready for the rush! Nothing like one final BBQ to end a great summer. My fridge is already stocked with Pederson's Jalapeno rope sausages and all the trimmings for our pool party BBQ next weekend! If your fridge is looking slim then you should make a stop this week at your local market and get some delicious meats to spice up your BBQ. Try some of our NEW Bison sausages for a nice break from the ordinary! Have a great week everyone.

New Recipe!

Hey guys, I tried this recipe a few weekends ago and it's really great! The recipe came from The Washington Post, the only thing I changed was using Pederson's Natural Farms bacon. Friends and family are sure to love it and best of all, it's gluten free.
