If you didn't know, May 28th is National Burger Day! To celebrate, we thought we'd share this awesome bison burger recipe. Of course the main ingredient is Pederson's Natural Farms bison and it's a no brainer that our bacon makes a special appearance as well!
Ingredients:
1 PKG. Pederson's Hickory Smoked Bacon
1 LB. Pederson's Wenzel Ground Bison
Wenzel Lonestar Meat Company's Bite My Butt Rub
Worcestershire Sauce
Sliced Cheese Of Your Choice
Buns
Toppings Of Your Choice
Instructions:
1. Place bacon on foil lined cookie sheet. Plae in oven, and bake at 400 degrees for 17 minutes or until crispy. Remove from oven, and place bacon on wire rack or paper towels to drain.
2. Heat gas grill to medium heat.
3. Sprinkle liberal amount of Bite My Butt Rub into ground bison and combine.
4. Divide ground bison into 4 equal sized patties making a thumb-sized indention in the middle of each.
5. Fill indention with a few drops of Worcestershire sauce.
6. Grill burgers over medium heat for approximately 4 minutes per side; bison is best served medium.
7. Add cheese during the last minute.
8. Remove from heat, and allow meat to rest for 5 minutes.
9. Top with bacon and other fixings.
